On April 29, a symposium to share ideas and practices to make college textbooks more affordable for college and university students statewide will be held.It will be held at the Columbus State Community College in Columbus between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The symposium will include a review of studies related to textbook costs, successful models the University System of Ohio colleges and universities uses to make textbooks more affordable, and information on other proposed initiatives.
The forum is free and open to the public, and Chancellor Eric Fingerhut has requested that colleges and universities in the University System of Ohio send a delegation to the symposium.
Advanced registration is required, and registrants have the option of purchasing a pre-ordered lunch.
